Deep Dive Workshops & Fireside Chats

Local deep dive workshops - online or in presence training to deepen knowledge and skills on some of the topics of major interest highlighted during the masterclasses. Local workshops, delivered in local languages, will allow stakeholders to elaborate more on specific arguments, without language barriers, and carry out more intensive know-how sharing and interchange between experts, practitioners and learners. Additionally, interactive Fireside Chats (Q&A sessions) will enhance direct dialogue between the lighting design creative value chain players in a more informal way, facilitating the networking.

The first International Online Masterclass within the SHAPE-THE-LIGHT project organised by Light & Lighting Laboratory | KU Leuven together with Groen Licht Vlaanderen (GLV)

International Masterclass 1 on Sustainability of artistic lighting products (KU Leuven, 16/09/2025)

KU Leuven and Cluster Groen Licht Vlaanderen recently organised the first international masterclass within the SHAPE-THE-LIGHT project.

This session focused on integrating sustainability principles into the design of (artistic) lighting products. Participants could explore how to apply Ecodesign regulations to support circular business models in alignment with the European Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus initiatives.
